References to “our website/s” are to www.bigreptileworld.com.

The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer of our website.

The use of this website is subject to the following terms of use:

Who we are:  In this privacy policy references to “we”, “us” and “our” are to Big Sky Trading Ltd, t/a Big Reptile World and to our sister company, John Berry Reptiles. References to “our website/s” or “the website” are to www.bigreptileworld.com and to www.johnberryreptiles.com

Information we collect via our websites may include.

1.  Any personal details you knowingly provide us with through forms and our email, such as name, address, telephone number etc.

2.    In order to effectively process credit or debit card transactions it may be necessary for the bank or card processing agency to verify your personal details for authorisation outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Such information will not be transferred out of the EEA for any other purpose.

3.    Your preferences and use of email updates, recorded by emails we send you (if you select to receive email updates on products and offers).

4.    Your IP Address, (this is a string of numbers unique to your computer that is recorded by our web server when you request any page or component on the Website). This information is used to monitor usage on our website.

5.    Data recorded by our websites which allows us to recognise you and your preferred settings( this saves you from re-entering information on return visits to our sites). This data is recorded locally on your computer through the use of cookies. Most browsers can be programmed to reject, or warn you before downloading cookies, information regarding this may be found in your browsers ‘help’ facility.

6.    We may occasionally conduct user surveys to better target our content to our audience. Ordering & Sales Terms & Conditions

By placing an order through the Big Reptile World website site you agree to the following terms and conditions of trade:

Basis of  Sales Contract

We aim to trade in a legal and fair way. Nothing in our terms are designed to limit what you are legally or even reasonably entitled to. We will supply you with goods and services if you order them and provided they are in stock. In advertising our goods and services and providing the opportunity to enter into trade with us, we are making an offer of contract. This is a legally binding process through which we can trade together. In placing an order with us, it is understood that you wish to trade with us and accept the contract. From then on we have the responsibility to provide you with what you have asked for and you are obliged to pay. There are certain exceptions and provisions and it is these, that this document seeks to define.

Pricing & Payments

The prices for the goods and services offered are advertised in various places. Our price lists, our web page and occasional promotion offers being some of them. Prices change and the price charged will be that in operation at the time of invoicing. This may reflect a recent price increase or a current special offer. Prices are correct at the time of publishing but may change after that.

Tax Charges

VAT is charged on most goods and services within the European Union. All of our retail prices include VAT, if applicable (some items are exempt from VST and others are zero rated).  Should you require a VAT invoice for your order please contact us.  If you select a delivery country which is not in the EU VAT will not be charged on your order.

Shipping Terms, Delivery & Acceptance

We offer free delivery on all UK mainland retail orders over £65.00 (excluding VAT). (We do not offer free delivery on trade or wholesale orders). We try to process all orders within 1 working day and normal delivery is within 2 to 3 working days *. Most items require a signature upon receipt as proof of delivery so please bear this in mind when ordering that someone must be present to sign for and accept the delivery **. We can despatch to an alternative daytime address if required. If for any reason we cannot adhere to our stated delivery timescale then we will contact you to advise you of the situation.

For European and other international orders, please contact on sales@bigreptielworld.com to inquire about international shipping charges. In certain cases where non UK mainland customers may place an order, or where inadequate postage has been paid we may request extra delivery charges to be paid. 

Any damage or discrepancies between the goods received and those ordered must be reported to the Seller in writing within 48 hours. Failure to comply may invalidate any claim.

*   Royal Mail delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by bad weather, peak holiday mail volumes and other delays beyond our control.
** Royal Mail shipments are not tracked, this only applies to courier delivery.
*** On rare occasions, Royal Mail 1st class and recorded delivery may take up to 15 working days as stated on the Royal Mail website under their terms and conditions.

If as stated above, Royal mail deliveries don't arrive, please contact us after the 15 working days are up. In many cases, products that can't be deliverd are returned to us, If this occurs we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative delivery.

Returns Policy

We hope you are happy with your purchases, however we know sometimes you may need to return an item so we aim to deal with returns as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

If you would like to return any items, please email us on returns@bigreptileworld.com  to inform us and enclose a note stating the reason for the return. Pack your item(s) in the same packaging (or similar packing) to which you received it and enclose a packing slip. Returned goods are subject to the following Returns Policy

·        You must inform us within 7 days of receiving your goods, if you wish to return them.

·        The goods must have been bought from our web-site: www.bigreptileworld.com (we really don’t want stuff you bought elsewhere, thanks)

·        Goods must be in good order, in the original packaging and unused.

·        Goods must be received back at our office within 14 days from the day you receive your order.

·        If any of the above conditions are not met we reserve the right to deduct an amount from any refund or to return the goods to you. Food items supplied in sealed packaging that have been opened are non refundable and non exchangeable.

·        If all conditions of return are met, will we either exchange the goods or issue a refund, no problem.

·        If a refund is requested, it will be made within 14 days from return (excluding postage & packaging) provided the goods are returned to us in their original condition. Of course postage will be refunded if an error is made by us.

These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

General & Proper Law of Contract

If any condition in this document is found to be illegal or otherwise invalid we will remove it immediately. Removing one item, however, does not invalidate any of the other conditions by which we trade. This contract is subject to the law of England and Wales

International sales

We do not make any representations regarding the legality, warranty coverage, compatibility or serviceability for products that are sold or used outside the United Kingdom. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure they are aware of any restrictions before they purchase from our website.
